MISSION STATEMENT

"Preparing our children for their future.

Children preparing themselves for their future."

Rawhitiroa School, situated on the outskirts of Eltham in Taranaki, caters for students from Years 1 to 8. They enjoy education in a safe, aesthetically pleasing, inclusive learning and play spaces. Students experience an environment conducive to successful learning and develop with teachers respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationships.

We strive for our children to be strong in Literacy and Numeracy, to expand their knowledge and skills across the curriculum, celebrate their successes and others, and to be positive active members of their community.

Strong relationships and partnerships connect home, school and the community. Families have many opportunities to engage in and support school activities and direction. Students in the past have been highly involved in the maintenance and beautification of nearby Lake Rotokare, a community-led project to create a pest-free sanctuary for bird life. Children learned in an atmosphere of mutual respect where being a member of the school's community and making a contribution is valued.

Pet Day
19 Sep 2025

Kia ora koutou

A few updates on our upcoming pet day next term:

We will be running a dress up competition at the end of all sections. This is not compulsory, but all our tamariki are welcome to dress up with their animals (including pet rocks). There will be four winners picked and they will all receive a recycled ribbon.

We may give out some highly commended awards on the day, and these will be recycled ribbons

It would be appreciated if all our juniors with animals could be supported by an adult on the day. All students bringing a dog must also be supported by an adult at all times

We will send out individual section judging times early next term.

A reminder if all families could please donate the following towards the pet day raffles:

·  Grocery item

·  Instant Kiwi Scratchy

Have a wonderful holiday. We look forward to seeing all our tamariki back on Monday 6th October for another busy term of learning. Just a reminder that we go back to a 3pm finish next term.

Thank you.
